Salem joined ADIC at its inception in April 2007, and held leadership roles in both Private Equity (2007 –2021) and Capital Solutions throughout his 17-year tenure.

Salem is the Executive Director of the Capital Solutions Department. He currently leads ADIC’s mandate across credit, hybrid capital, insurance, and platform investments.

Salem previously served as Executive Director of the Private Equity Department, where he constructed a selective, well diversified portfolio comprising top tier private equity funds, venture capital funds, and co-investments.

Prior to that, Salem was the head of the Rest of the World region within the Private Equity Department at the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA). During his 8-year tenure, he was responsible for constructing a portfolio of world class private equity funds in emerging markets including Asia-Pacific, Central & Eastern Europe, Latin America and Africa. Salem also covered ADIA’s North American Private Equity portfolio.

Salem holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Colorado Technical University.
